MALAYSIA, FinTech News, 7 March 2018 –It’s been a great journey being part of Malaysia first FinTech Award we’re proud to have been one of the 4 judges appointed to help recognize the achievements and the progress of the fintech industry in Malaysia, the award was first announced on the 16th October 2017 and was open to public voting from 17th October 2017 till 26th January 2018. During that period 89 nominations, 15,000 public votes were received for the 13 categories.
While during the judging process there were some clear winners, many of the shortlisted finalist were neck in neck in terms of the scoring.

We went on the sidelines to speak to some of the winners to get their comments on winning the awards.
Shamsul Jafni Shafie, CEO, Co-Founder pitchIN:

Datuk Chay, Chairman, Rakuten Trade:
“Rakuten Trade is Kenanga Group’s first venture into the fintech space. It was established to fulfill a great market need with the aim to further digitalise the equities broking landscape”. said Datuk Chay Wai Leong, Chairman of Rakuten Trade who bagged the grand prize of FinTech Company of the Year.
