Imagine being forced to flee your home and relocate to a new country where you have no rights to work or have an education. Sadly, this is true for 181,000 registered refugees and asylum seekers in Malaysia.
Did you know that Malaysia is not a signatory to the UN Refugee Convention? That means many refugees are not allowed to work or have access to education in public schools or universities in Malaysia.
This month’s Global Sadaqah campaign is raising funds for an entrepreneurship-based upskilling program for 50 Somali, Palestinian, and Afghan refugee youth living in Malaysia to give them a chance at life.
This 8-Month Entrepreneurship Program by Accelerate Global and Fugee Org will help 50 youths turn their hobbies and skills into a money-making business, thus allowing them to achieve financial sustainability, sustain their lives, and improve their livelihood.
Your donation will cover the fees for the 8-month entrepreneurship upskilling program and subscription to Aceducation where they have access to learn anytime and anywhere.
You can help by donating today by contributing directly to Global Sadaqah via the HelloGold app. Start with sending just RM25 in gold to [email protected].
