Did you know that about 50% of cancer patients suffer from malnutrition during treatment? Many cancer patients experience a loss of appetite and have difficulty swallowing and digesting hard food, leaving them vulnerable to malnutrition.
This month, our friends at Global Sadaqah are helping raise funds through the “Homes of Hope” initiative to provide Oral Nutritional Supplements and free formula milk for underprivileged children and adult cancer patients in poor families.
What is Homes of Hope?
Homes of Hope is an initiative set up by the National Cancer Society of Malaysia that provides free accommodation for underprivileged children, adult cancer patients, and their caregivers – from outside of Kuala Lumpur while they undergo treatment at the hospital. ONS and formula milk powder are one of the utmost essentials at the Home.
