Let’s work together to help feed poor Malaysian families who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic with emergency food baskets with Global Sadaqah.
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on all of us, not to mention the 900,000 Malaysians living below the poverty line. Suicide cases have increased dramatically across the country with many families waving white flags to ask for help.
This month’s Global Sadaqah donation campaign was set up by Waqaf An-Nur to help many Asnaf and B40 families who are really struggling during this time. With just RM60, you will be able to donate 1 Food Box. Did you know that with just one basket, five people in one family will be able to continue survival?
Additionally, donations from this campaign will also be used to give out direct financial aid in the form of cash to the beneficiaries. Who are these beneficiaries you’ll be helping? They are selected based on the criteria set by the Johor Religious Council (MAIJ) and includes:
- Asnaf registered under MAIJ
- B40 registered with the District Officer Office
- Workers/ Family heads that have lost their jobs
