Giving children the best start in life is what we all want as parents but for some families, achieving this is much harder. Having a child with chronic illness can be life-changing and handling the medical, financial and emotional needs is overwhelming.
This month, Global Sadaqah is helping raise funds for Muhammad Umar, a 5-month-old boy has been recently diagnosed with Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS). It is a rare and serious disease that causes the destruction of red blood cells, which can lead to kidney failure. The symptoms include fatigue, weakness, fainting and bruising. In serious cases, it can lead to high blood pressure, seizures, blood-clotting problems, kidney disease, stroke, or even coma.
To help give Umar a fighting chance, your donation will help Umar’s family afford the treatment which includes:
- Plasma Apheresis, and
- A monthly injection of Enculizumab costing RM14,800 per month.
You can help by making a donation today by contributing directly to Global Sadaqah via the HelloGold app. Start with sending just RM10 in gold to [email protected].
