HelloGold was established in 2015 as the world’s first Shariah-compliant mobile application that changes the way you buy, save, sell and redeem in physical gold. With over 200,000 users, we aim to help more people take their step towards lifelong financial security.

Robin Lee
CEO & Co-Founder
Robin was the former CFO of the World Gold Council, and previously a Chartered Accountant at ICAEW. He graduated with an MA with Honours from Oxford University, UK.
Ridwan Abdullah
Strategy Lead & Co-Founder
Ridwan was the former head of Special Projects at AEON Credit Service (M) Berhad. He holds a Global MBA from Columbia Business School (USA), London Business School (UK) and the University of Hong Kong (CHN) and a BSc from the Business School of Lausanne, Switzerland.
Ita Jalaluddin
Malaysia Lead
Ita is experienced in leading product and marketing teams in startups and creative agencies. She holds an MA in Design History from the Royal College of Art, UK, and a BA in International Relations from Boston University.
Siripat Patrangul
Thailand Lead
Siripat has over 25 years of experience in management, branding, total marketing communications, strategic planning, and sales. She previously held leading positions in Alpha Payments Cloud, BlueStacks, iPay and BlackBerry.
Andras Kristof
Technology Lead
Andras is a digital currency technology expert with 20+ years of IT experience building robust, scalable systems. He was the CEO and co-founder of Tembusu Systems, former CTO of Yojee, and holds a Masters in Computer Science from Maharishi University of Management.
Yassir Yahya
Product Lead
Yassir is experienced in building consumer facing multi-channel products in both startup and consulting environments. With a strong background in UX Architecture, Front-End and Web Development, he’s been involved in key projects with Fresh & Easy, Petronas and 11street.
Dave Appleton
Blockchain Lead
Dave is an expert in blockchain technology specializing in ethereum smart contracts, data oracles and blockchain analytics. He holds an MSc in Management of Technology from the National University of Singapore, and a BSc in Electronic Engineering from the University of London, UK.
Tawana Muchatuta
Operations Lead
Tawana is a Chartered Engineer with experience in capital projects, process improvements and operations management at Schweppes Holdings Africa and British Sugar. He holds a BEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University and is pursuing an MSc in Renewable Technology Systems.
Nawal Ismail
Legal Lead
Nawal was the former Chief Legal Officer at a telco startup in Myanmar, and a former in-house counsel at Qantas Group. She studied her LLB at the University of Melbourne, Australia, and gained her BSc at the University of California Berkeley, in the USA.
Evelyn Chew
Finance Lead
Evelyn was a former regional finance analyst at Halliburton, as well as an accounting analyst at IBM and Kimberly-Clark. She holds a BBus in Accounting and Finance from the University of Technology Sydney, Australia.
